A 15-10 Poem - History To the Present

HISTORY TO THE PRESENT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Before distant lands were discovered we had no need to fight! So why thereafter did countries war, whatever was their plight? Had greed, corruption found by dishonest stealth, a way to fool the honest folk, the lay people, that's the only way to rule. This went on for centuries, and still, dose! Sadly today this wickedness goes on. Honest folk cannot see light for the fuzz. Wicked leaders do not know right from wrong It is often said, "We can learn from our so-called bad mistakes. A lie, we never learned a thing, we have not got what it takes. Remember Hiroshima, mass murder of the first degree! What did we learn from that disaster, nowt, we still are not free! Destruction of the total human race, pollution, a means to our very end! Unless we do something that's what we face! It is worse than war, yet they too still trend! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 15-10 Alternating Poetry Form A poem where 15 syllable stanzas which begin with an anapest foot and having couplet rhyme alternate with 10 syllable iambic stanzas with cross rhyme. What happened to the war to end all wars.? So much conflict and yet it's the innocent who suffer every time. Mankind should bow his head in shame as to what's happening in Syria. Targetting terrorists' they said, three year old girl lying dead didn't look like a terrorist to me. Tom

That's not the half of it! It all gets a bit to much for me. Some countries and people have such short memories, so sad! Mick
