Why Rhyme
White Lightening in her eyes
Morbid thunder in her soul
Conflict and compromise
Came together to bestow
A contradicting life
To an unsuspecting girl
Twice as naughty as nice
Too intense for this world
Finding solace in her words
she didn’t choose to sing
Simply writing was her cure
A calming, tragic ring
To read her words aloud
In total solitude
Made her feel proud
To rhyme her own tune
A verse for the pain
Hidden beneath her smile
The cadence of a chain
When her feelings flow wild
