We All Make Mistakes
-I make mistakes like the next man. In fact, being-forgive me- rather cleverer than most
men, my mistakes tend to be correspondingly huger.-
I've done a lot of bad things in my life, many I hate to speak of
The only being that knows of all my wrongdoings is the man above
I've watched my friend die, cheated on previous girlfriends, and told lies
How can you commit so much treachery when very little time flies
Lord please forgive me for my sins, for we both know I'm pure at heart
I've done so many bad things, I can put them on a wall and play darts
I'm different from most people, because I learn from my mistakes
Give me a chance to go back and erase them, I swear I'd do whatever it takes
Too bad, Richard, you can't go back in time, what's done is done
Don't let those crimes stop you from being the man you later become
I still apologize for having an affair with my old girlfriend's friend
That one night shouldn't have happened, it began but never came to an end
I could've left her alone, I just had to bite my lip and cheat on my ex
What goes around comes around, I knew I'd feel that pain next
I knew she liked me, still I let her kiss me behind your back
If anything would hit you with a blow, I knew it would be that
Well that's too bad because you won't even read this
I was gonna testify and confess, but the flame hasn't been lit
Yes I got it out I feel great
I just wanted the world to know We All Make Mistakes
