Walking To America
I took your hand
And led you far away
Off to somewhere special
Somewhere that we can stay
It's a place they call America
They will welcome us there
The land they call America
Where all the people care
Walk fast my child we're almost there
They'll feed us and take us in
They'll treat us just like family
No matter where we've been
Yes this place they call America
I hope it's all they say
I hope they offer us a better life
I hope they let us stay
It's been my dream
For all of my days
To go live in America
Prosper in her ways
But America might not want us anymore
Seems things have changed overnight
If America doesn't want us my child
Tomorrow we continue our plight
