Valentine's
To all the women happy to be ladies
And all the girls content in who you are
This day was made for you because you're saintly
In every honest man and young boy's heart
Mere chocolates and roses are unworthy
As reflections of the gratitude we feel
Far too often we're distracted, in a hurry
And the love we need to show remains concealed
Not just because you bring our world such beauty
Nor even that you propagate our kind
Your tenderness reminds us how we should be
So that every day might be like Valentine's
