Their Deaths We Will Revere
Upon the battlefield lamentation, sear
In war strife lands both far and near
There they sought to sketch in war, unclear
Though shunned death which they fear
The war had naught to do with slaves,
Nor in a world which Freedom lives and strives
Yet having seen this light before in other guise
But not without the cost of human lives
And of this war which they did not choose
They sought the grains of hidden truth
On bent knee’s they seek to soothe
While anthem plays; they proudly salute
Within in the crowd a loudly cheer
When stars and stripes it does appear
A message send both loud and clear
Patriotism shall never disappear.
