The Time When We Call Each Other Friends

When the dust settles, And clear water wash your eyes, And all that you can do, Is scratch your head, Hands on on your hip, Biting your lip, With all that was said and done, Not knowing who had won, Only you start to realize, Amidst the truths and lies, You have lost a friend, Who used to be forever till the end. My shoulder's sore from your weighty head, But I kept it strong, My arms are tired to keep you from falling, But I held on, Yet these are things I would miss the most, Long after our friendship is lost, That someone out there do need me, Anytime of day I would be, The one you run to, To confide, No boundaries, Nothing to hide, And do it over and over again, For each other, Because there was a time, When we called each other friends.

Very sad and eloquently said. Always emotional when friendships are lost.
