Sipping On An Exotic Drink
All mums are superheroes,
Yes we know.
We have four eyes, arms and legs.
Keeping everybody happy,
And listen to all the complains,
Giving solutions to your problems.
But sometimes superheroes,
Also need a break from reality.
And she wants to go on holiday.
Laying lazy on a hammock,
Sipping on an exotic drink.
While a soft breeze plays with,
Her grey hair.
And sunrays kisses, soothes her wrinkled skin.
With her eyes closed, she listens to the whispering
Of the wind, singing her a special melody.
For all those times she felt so lonely.
When she had to play nurse until late at night.
Or an attorney, when her child was bullied.
Domestic worker, cleaning up behind everyone,
Teacher to figure out what is one plus one.
For all those times, she was fighting against,
The monsters that want to destroy a happy home.
Or the times she was crying alone.
Hiding where no one can see,
She is not that strong.
So next time mum sounds crazy,
Humming out of tune.
Then she lays lazy on her hammock,
Sipping on an exotic drink.
