Sea of Roses
What a sea of roses will mean
To one whose hair have long turned grey
Whose bones have become thin and lean
Who pans pangs of pains night and day
Whose skin has shrivelled as a leaf
Whose heart sinks in the sea of grief!
Will a sea of stunning roses
Smell sweet to one who is smell-blind,
Devoid of his sense of noses,
To one who`s bereft of his mind,
One whose stomach can`t swallow food,
One who can`t sense evil or good!
Will a sea of roses delight
A folk lingering on his bed
Just awaiting his final flight
Without a soul a tear to shed
A prayer for him to offer
Or words of kindness to proffer!
Will a sea of roses excite
The shine of its velvet beauty
To one who never has eyed light
And its sacred solemnity
From the day of his flight from sky
To the realm of the earth to ply!
Will a sea of scented roses
Restore the glimmer of a heart
Shattered in a thousand pieces
Charting the sun`s shines as they dart
In a shallow sorrowful space
Awaiting the Lord`s divine grace!
Let a sea of roses beckon
A spate of smart sun promises
From a string of souls who reckon
It Is time their vows to relish
And seal on a sandy sea shore
For their life to open its door.
Let a sea of roses perfume
The heart of young frantic lovers
And the subtle scent of their bloom
Pervade the thin air and hover
Around as witness to the scene
In silence, solemn and serene.
