Midnight Whispers

Open window fluttering lace Gentle breeze across my face Midnight hour is full of fear Whispers surround what do I hear? lamentations of the dead Their voices like a silky thread Embroidered pattern of regret Touching my heart I won't forget. As the sun rises fear has gone Whispers' of rapture like fine chiffon Melody lovely with perfumed air Finally sleeping no longer aware. Murmurs and whispers all at rest Living my life feeling blessed Whispers at midnight I'm unafraid I allow them freedom to invade.
