Climbing the Mountain

Climbing the Mountain I thought I’d climb the mountain It wasn’t very high; I thought for sure I’d climb it; Someday before I die. It was ever my ambition; It was on my Bucket list. As soon as that was finished And I had taken care of this. Then the climb proved too expensive; I had no money for my pack. And I feared that once I climbed it; I could never make it back. I thought I’d climb the mountain It was my sole desire; I thought for sure I’d climb it, After I retired. But my body got to fragile, My eyesight grew to dim. So to make it up that mountain now; My chances are to slim. I thought I’d climb the mountain. It just makes me want to cry. Cause I thought for sure I’d climb it. Someday before I die, Don't put off until tomorrow What you can do today. If you want to climb a mountain. Do it now without delay.
