88 Degrees

I drove my truck into town, 88 degrees, hot and humid
No A/C, I was stuck in traffic, with road work and tourists
My radio blared to get me through, turned many heads
The grocery store had many empty shelves and prices high!
Yes, a pound of American cheese 7.60, other things doubled
On my way home stuck in traffic again, with 88 degrees
Radio songs in the wind from open window got me through
Until I saw the mountain rise, around the corner in the distance
         - And I thanked God, I was almost home -

Yes Vijay! It is supposed to get cooler and more dry the next couple days. I hope you stay safe with the thunderstorms. Thank you for your kind comment and support Vijay. I am always grateful :)

88-degrees is nothing unless you don't have a breeze among your trees! Enjoyed!

Thank you Ilene. No, I don't have A/C in the house, but it stays cooler with all the trees around and ceiling fans. I appreciate your comment. I hope all is well :)
