6000 Miles From Home

"Each experience is locked within my heart and only I hold the key..."

Stifling heat,hectic surroundings,locals their lifestyle
politeness, honesty stems from karma overwhelming profile
hardworking for a pitance, food to provide
sending money to the village, the family to divide.

Monies earned in cities, triple valued north
tourist prices enable the workers to go forth.
Youths sleeping beneath cardboard, such a crying shame
reds and blues collide, goverment all to blame.

On arriving home,no possibility to explain
the differance Thailand throws from luxury to the pain
however life goes on,in Pattaya o so what a thrill
to walk the golden dragon stairs, the giant Buddah on the hill.

congratulations on your win. Showing those class differences. It is very apparent in so many parts of our world. I remember seeing it when I traveled a bit in my youth. LUv, Andrea

I can't connect the last verse to the previous ones? I thought I was in Texas or a Mexican border state and then found out I was in Thailand? Maybe one more verse before the last? Or letting us know where we are in verse 1? light & love

I like it, I like it. Where we go changes us. Was the Freddie Mercury tribute you attended with your Skinbob (I like it, I like it) filmed? Would like to have it unless only you have the key. Nola (Perez)
