Earth Wish
Looking back on Earth from 300 miles out,
makes me wonder what's it all about?
How can we assume that we are special?
How can we believe in a God and a devil?
Why do we pollute our beautiful blue seas?
Why mow down our oxygen giving trees?
Why does religion lead to such pain?
What is it really these wars hope to gain?
We are tiny in the grand scheme of things.
Humility is what's needed among human beings.
I wish you all had the same view as me.
From 300 miles out, then you would see.
The seas like blue ribbons, the forests so green.
Like me, you'd be awed, in my little orbiting machine.
