2nd Day of Lockdown
2nd day of lockdown
I woke up early in the morning
Stepped forward to kitchen
Made tea for myself and her
I poured it into two mugs and
Returned to bedroom.
Fake smile on fake face
'Do you want tea' i asked with courage
She accepted it without uttering a word
After tea i collected the pots.
Where are you going? She inquired
'Wash ' i replied
'It is better to leave them here,' she said .
I can do better this time, i replied.
Without hearing more words
I came towards the wash basins
I rounded my lips to whistle
Started my new task to wash pots
First Chinese mug i washed carefully
When the second mug was in my hands
I listened unpleasant sound in both mind and hands.
It got fracture that changed my whistling tune .
I listened that Chinese items not live long
But damn covid proved it wrong.
I stepped forward to doors
Opened it and shocked to see city blank
A cop was on lockdown's duty
They gifted hard who broke lockdown
I saw it on tv yesterday.
Human nature behave strange
I felt it that day
When i saw a cop on honest duty.
I shut the doors again
Put on hand made mask
Opened the doors
Slowly slowly i moved towards the dustbin across the road
I dropped broken mug into the bin
I ran towards the doors for heroic win
Had a long breath of relax to make relax.
After that i took healthy lunch
Watched movies suggested by Mr. Dev
Took a nap in noon to make me cool
But my misfortune never leaves my hands
It was 4'o clock, time to take tea
But regret this was not for me.
Where is tea mug? ,she asked
In kitchen, i replied
'I can't find it here, ' she said.
I found one cup where is second?
Meanwhile i thought a plan to avoid crisis
Oh! That's, I replied
Mrs. Sharma needs some milk this noon, i replied
'Who is she?, She inquired
Slim ,tall and charming lady of our society .
'You should keep distance from her,' plain ordered
Why?, dear
Don't poke your nose in this matter, she screamed
High society lady made him nervous
I hated most the lady in this society, she screamed
Do you know when you appreciated me last
I was speechless and felt nervous there
Do you hear me, she screamed
Mistake to praise the lady, made me culprit
I put on slippers to go out for peace
Opened doors and saw the cop on duty
Shut it hard and murmured in lips
'What the hell is going on in lockdown '
Neither can stay in nor can go out.
'Don't ask about my dinner of that night
Wise readers can tell me right now
Could i deserve dinner that night?
