24 7

every morning
step by slow step
he walks to the convenience store
two rolls and half a pint of milk
for breakfast
and two cans of lager
that is all of his hunger for life
which has remained
he calls it routine
and continues to wait
for nothing

Intriguing and something to think on, my friend. A lone path chosen of many options. May peace be found as you seek without seeking. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Is this called 'waiting'. A few steps, a few sustaining needs, and then...? Very nice Kai. Linda
