21st Century Rainbow

Red. The colour of love, Anger and destruction Blood spilled on the pavement "Oh the thought of two gay men!" Orange. The colour of fire Igniting anger, fuelling their veins A coloured kid gets shot Only racism to blame. Yellow. The colour of lemons Just as bitter as your words Making small, innocent children Cut their delicate skin with knives Green. The colour of money Greed and hatred Controlling our systems Making us all victims. Blue. The colour of the water Pooling an drowning people Anxiety crumbling the walls Making our minds insane Indigo. The colour of midnight skies Drowning our screams Of sadness and depression Swirling under control Someone please help us.

Interesting how blacks were once called colored people. This reminded me of that. My Horn family is originally from Rothenberg.
