'128 Words' - Spring
SPRING
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Small spring bird sings.
Blooms wait, rain pings.
The rush to grow.
The threat of snow.
Spring hides new life,
waits for the strife,
of snow and frost,
it knows the cost.
Burnt leaves, ice found,
still on the ground.
Spring is no fool,
bides by each rule.
Waits for the sun,
still hid no fun.
One more month, cold!
Might just get bold?
But it's learnt well,
to cold, to tell
new life, come out
while cold has clout.
Yet still, birds sing,
in hope that spring,
gets it just right,
no need to fight.
Warmth of the sun.
Cold on the run.
Jack frost packs up.
Spring has a look.
Yep cold has gone,
birds in full song.
Spring once more rules.
The cold, downed tools.
