1-22-10 Wipe It Away [for Matthew Miles]
Today, i was sad, filled with broken eyes
tears seeping out like my unspoken lies
so many things a plague on my heart
afraid it would stop and never again restart
but now im finding smiles come to my face
as im sitting here talking to funny people, in this little white space
black lines jot down across the screen
some things just so funny they make me wanna scream
now im laying on my back, in the summers green grass
funny how all it takes is my mind and a few great laughs
counting the starrs that i can still see
breathing in deep the sweet grassy brease
im watching the clouds, white and puffy they pass
pointing out shapes and rolling in the grass
asking you to join as we lay in the sun
just trying to have a little uplifting fun
funny how someone new, can just make me laugh
and wipe away all the sorrowful sad
