-that Place That Should Not Be-(Part 3 of 3)

(As with the young king, I....)

And I knew,
that in like manner as Josiah,
I was going to have to dethrone
from the aforementioned high places,
those abominable idols of mine own making
(such as pride, apathy, procrastination and envy).
These were going to have to be torn down from their high places
so that the One who should rightfully sit
the throne of my heart,
would once again,
take His rightful place
and restoration and renewal
would once again make it's steady and consistent progress
down into the land of my life
during my sojourn here.
Thus,
once again would reign
the Golden Age of uninterrupted Communion with Him
who is
The One True an Only God.

Footnote:
For a backdrop to this allegory and a more clear
understanding of who Josiah was
(my favorite biblical king),

2 Chronicles 34

I read all three. I think a lot of people idolize a lot of things that they don't realize that they do...when they should be Loving and praising the God Lord instead...Another great write...

Douglas, this is quite a chronicle! Love the way you describe the "abominiable idols" of your own making. We all have those weights tying us to earthly pleasures.

A brilliant study of the word, and an accurate position of the soul. Peace and love
