Word: Sunrise
Smiling so sweetly, but without a single sound,
We hold each other so close, glad to be around.
No words need to be spoken in this silent scene,
All in all, this time is just perfect and serene.
As the tones of night set in, I can't help but sleep,
As with you, I feel safe, so I allow my dreams to creep.
Time passes so slowly, which I am glad for,
And when the time comes to wake, I will beg for more.
S U N R I S E
I slowly open my eyes to the first rays of the sun,
And the time I dread has come, so just come dawn.
Turning off my alarm clock before it can ring,
I yawn as the birds outside begin to sing.
Sitting in bed for a moment, such a bittersweet moment,
For it reminds me of when everything I knew was broken.
Looking down at the bed beside me, you're already gone,
But now that I remember, you were never there, I was always alone.
