When the storm is cold and strong
and I feel as I'm going under
far out into the northern sea
                                     The ice cold wind
                                  stinging my wet cheek

Some days the sea takes me
in waves of pain and heavy thoughts
Bitter storms will come and they will pass
no matter how I deal with them
Right now the sky is dark gray

Storms will come, but they will pass by. The sky may be dark grey, but will change to cerulean blue. This is what we can hope for ! Your inner landscape is beautifully delineated in comparison to the landscape outside. A profound poem dear Smile. Love and hugs

The heaviness of dark gray…is it clearing or approaching, perhaps lingering… I love the sea!

Stand strong, Anne-lise, strong waves too have to calm sometime, one has to face death for it is a part of life... Yet they say, time heals...

- I have experienced countless deaths, Jo ... through my profession and privately ... death is cold and cruel - When "young" people die ... it feels even heavier ... and children who are left without parents ... it is heartbreaking ... - hugs

Hi. I know the feeling well. These northern climes are hell. The grey will go away. Snowdrops I see today. And daylight gets longer. Soon will end the winter. Keep positive thinking. Look forward to the spring. Take care. Tony.

Hang in there my friend, after the gray skies have had their fill, the blue skies will surely appear, at the sight of lovely sunshine :)

When the wind blows in the North Sea it can be an unforgiving place. Hope your week is off to a good start Anne. Tom

Wonderful description of a storm, but then you waxed metaphorically and let emotions take over like a storm. Hugs xx
