Plant a seed of hope, courage, strength, patience and love Dig a big hole in the garden of your thoughts Cover well with soil of fertility My garden philosophy is to make the garden simple, practical, nice, lush and beautiful in collaboration with nature A garden that will grow over time Water it from the source of satisfaction I choose to have several types of flowers Marguerites, Lobelia, Scabious, Rosemary, Foxgloves, Petunia and Chives The best flowers for bumblebees plants rich in pollen and nectar When you focus on the possibilities, you will only get even more opportunities In return you will get unprecedented amounts of happiness and peace Some of the most annoying I know are the days when daydreaming constantly being interrupted while I climb my ladder ... one step at a time My garden is my temple 30/07/2020 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved Poetry Contest Petal, buds, blossoms, bees, birds, butterflies Sponsored by: Silent One 2nd place in the contest - a fictional poem :)

It used to be a soulful exp. walking through my garden, but I must admit that I neglected work a great deal, and it was crying out for my attention, our new garden, needs a great deal of TLC but we have someone who will be coming twice a week from next week and will help to put our garden back on track. Yours looks breathtaking - enjoy every moment of it my dearest friend. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

The description of your garden is every bit as beautiful as the photo you've chosen. It's lush and colorful enough to draw the pollinators. Lovely lines, Anne-Lise.

Enjoyed seeing your garden philosophy in poetry, and loved the photo you included. With your love of nature and the outdoors it's easy to see why your nickname is Sunshine Smile. This brought me a smile today, Anne-Lise. Best wishes in the contest. Hugs ~ John

Your garden sounds beautiful and it seems the flowers are metaphors for life's blessings, Sunshine. You've chosen your plants well and I hope the bees are pollinating them. The last line recalls Emily Dickinson's poem "Some Like the Sabbath," in which she explains that she communicates with God best in her garden. I can relate to you desire to surround yourself with beauty as the pandemic rages. It does help. A fave for me, Sunshine. Best wishes in the contest, Carolyn

Oh me too Anne-Lise. I love to sit on my garden swing in summer and listen to the birds and bees. The smell of the flowers is so relaxing. I try to plant things that attract butterflies. This is lovely. And I love the pic. I do so love blue flowers. God Bless, JB

You have created a garden of serenity--fiction though it may be. There is the place where people go to find themselves--I like your ending as well, Anne-Lise.
