Take death back The doctor's objective review Argues and life skills Take death back Death involves a loss Essential treatment, whatever price? The ballad of life Take death back One last act on one's existence overwhelming The vulnerable situation always an uncertainty Take death back Life's rowing boat, without oars Free entrance Not today, not tomorrow not this month Life ... - with death on hold Take death back I'm not ready to say goodbye ... dad The doctor's last answer : ... "Sorry ... there's no more we can do" 03/12/2019 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Touched my heart strings my soul sister - sad for the the person dying and sad to watch his loved ones grieving. This happened with me Dad when he was only 66! A talented sad write. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Touched my heart strings soul sister - the doctor said exactly the same to my mother and i as my father was dying - he gave him 6 weeks - my father lived 14 months longer pain free, until metastasis took over. I also fear the pain and suffering, not only for myself, but for my loved ones around me witnessing this horrific ordeal. Your compassion soars my friend. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Your poem is extremely penetrative, Anne-Lise and evokes such strong feelings of grief for having already experienced this or fear for the future. I wish you peace xxoo

Anne-Lise, oh I am so sorry for your grief, this happened to me also, I had to watch my mom slip away from me each day, each hour, each moment and the doctor said there is nothing more we can do, your poem drips your sadness and is excellent in every way a poem can be,my dad's death was sudden like a dagger to my heart ! love Constance

When time comes he will accept to go. Of course , our suffering is intense but our parents live within us. I lost both of my parents at 10 my father and at 14 my mother. There is no day that passes by without thinking of them even after 65 years!! God be with you my dearest, Anne-Lise! Hugs xxx

This is powerful and touched me deeply. It will be 9 years on Saturday that death took my dad ... I hope this is just musing and not life at the present. This one lingers Ann-Lise. Poignant, well drafted poem. Hugs

Dear Anne-Lise, just stopping by to say I'm so sorry you are going through this painful time with a loved one-wish there was something I could do to help. I dont think anyone is ready for death, it changes our reality, and makes us feel so insecure. (Lost 3 last year.) Just take one day at a time, that's all we can do. And you have many friends here who are "with" you in more ways than one. May you have the strength to cope. ((Warm Hugs)) ~~AquaM~~

There is a saying in Yiddish "'L'Chaim" - it means "to life" Hope yours is long and happy. Death is something we all face and you tell that succinctly in your poem. Try "Demon, Demon" by Ghost Funk Orchestra again - you should be able to get it - I just listined to it. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

I say pull up that welcome mat when death comes knocking and tell him he has the wrong address. Very dark my friend, it is something we all have to face someday but for me...it can be some day very far in the future. Nicely done Anne-Lise.
