Notes About The Poem

I love this!:

- Lifeless -

From one second to the next
Love is our strength and honor, while we are still alive

The body feels cold and stiff
Searching for heart beat ... breathe ... pulse
One, two, three .... one, two, three
Please

With eyes full of tears
One, two, three .... one, two, three
Fearing the silence ... and darkness

Power failure
... I did my best

A beautiful metaphor! All we can do is give our best. "Love is our strength and honor", really love that line. You have a lovely weekend too Anne-Lise. Hugs, Connie The picture is so cute! 7 ; )

A compelling poem, Anne-Lise. Life and death are separated by the ability to breathe. Sometimes life wins the struggle, but we have to accept the consequences of "Power failure." Food for thought, my friend. Excellent writing!

Well, when I think that this poem may refer also to the reality of human existence it becomes a monumental existentialistic poem and for that give it a HUGE SEVEN my dear, Anne-Lise!

You can hide your humour in your writing but are obviously fun to be around Anna-Lise. Always a help in serious health situations, such as this.
