A strong and concise haiku—so great fragility and power condensed into a few lines. Anne-Lise. Warm hugs

I'm in awe of the deer's coloring, do you think it's natural or enhanced? I could happily stare at that picture for an hour. The haiku is great, very clever and I enjoyed it. I'm off to see if you've posted any humor. I've been gone awhile and really missed my Anne-Lise' humor fixes. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Lovely picture. Reminds me of when my mother took me to watch my first film. Splendid haiku. Hugs.

Anne-Lise, as you note, a lot is at play when we go out into the world. A lot of risk to think about, but we do it. Hopefully with the risk mitigated.

A powerful and succinct senryu—so much strength and vulnerability wrapped in these few lines. The phrase “independence at own risk” speaks volumes, and the “quiet resolution” lingers with a dignified echo. Beautifully done.

Nature's serenity and peace is evoked by this poem about a fawn's first independent steps. Loved it, and the picture, too! :) hugs

Dear Anne-Lise, your poem feels like a gentle nod to all those who choose authenticity, even when it’s lonely or uncertain. A wonderful tribute to inner strength, to the peace that can be found in our own company, and to the silent determination that carries us through. Amen! Summer Blessings, Dear Anne-Lise, Daniel

Ahhh!!! Beautiful fawn. Yes, they rest in a quiet place while mom feeds in the surrounding area. Soon they will be on their own. Thanks for sharing. Love the photo that goes along. Sara K
