How precious baby birds look, Sunshine. I wonder if those are robin's eggs. The last line evokes a bit of fear for the hatchling's safety. Birds used to nest in my hanging impatiens and my cats tried to jump up and topple the nest. A compelling haiku, dear. Hugs, carolyn

He is born knowing how to get fed. Great photo. Good work. Thanks for the visit. I am glad to know someone else has two chihuahuas. One was put out at my house 6 years ago. He has been something else. I don't know it it was from the stress of being out on his own(no one could get their hands on him) or if he was mistreated by the former owners or what his problem is. I think maybe part personality(aggressive). Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Anne-Lise, Hairy, wants to be with me but doesn't want me to touch him unless he wants me to touch him which he will let me know by scratching me with his nails. He then will let me pet him maybe one or two strokes then he will start growling. Strange dog. Sara

This reminds me of a recent picture of my cousin’s newborn laying amidst several dolls. She was scared I think wondering why none other than her was awake. A setup by her wacky dad. Cute pic!

Great haiku, open to ideas. No mate? Sterile? Eggs eaten by crows? Well done.
