---Fear and Darkness---
The still road was abandoned
and onyx-painted dark.
I was walking from waitressing
near the park.
The stars were Spring bright.
And then~I heard wandering
footsteps behind me!
Too frightened to turn around
and see.
A decision I had to make!
To turn and face danger for my
sake!
Within three feet of me, stood
a huge, burly man.
I yelled, "what do you want?"
Amazingly,he turned from me
and he ran!
I shall always remember that
Spring, frightftful night.
To look fear right in the eye,
No matter what, still gives me
everlasting might!
