Love

I come every morning to the beginning of this street
thinking that you will pass from here
I wait, wait, and wait…

when you are seen from far
my heart does not fit to its cage,
tulips bloom in me…
an inexplicable warmth embraces my body
I burn from top to toe…
I do not see who is on the street, I cannot see.
I do not see the trees and when you approach freezes my blood, freezes my mind freezes my soul… everything freezes in me you just pass by, it does not change anything whether I exist or not it does not matter for you, for the world or for the sun when I return home I carry a dream with me… there is still a reason again to overcome the dark and cold night still a reason for me, another reason to reach tomorrow morning, I will run again, I will run again the following morning to the beginning of the same street Ahmet Yalcinkaya © Translated by Richard Mildstone

Longing For You Suffices I Cannot Say Come

I cannot say come to you
I cannot call you while I am like you
I do not call you from climates far away
before fears
if you would find me
in gardens without nightingales
I run away
/ may be you catch me without roses
maybe you wound me /
I stand out to sea at that, it is the way
I do not look at the deep
/ may be my ship rushes to you
I come to you to climates far away /

Write My News To Your Agency

i lost my mind
since the moment i have seen you
i found me a way
go and go
you have the scope, you have the light
you have the compass
to where i do not know

some will say mad
Saint some will say
the look like penetrating souls
of the gloom in my eyes
has a meaning or is going to have
be one knowing my sorrow
may not have a meaning let it be
and anyway why do you care
send your report
write to your agency and send promptly
write just your news about me
