Poem

The pattern of my world has become
Sleep and War; war and sleep
I’m on the edge of the convergence between:
The deepest, darkest of night and the brightest of light
Yet, I’m a Lamb that desires peace
And this constant war is an anathema/antithesis to me

Drained and drained and drained
Treading, pushing, and pressing on
Forward for an unknown interval of time
Of minutes, hours, days, months, and years
Am I almost there yet?

The enemy attacks with waves upon waves upon waves 
Crashing and clashing and bringing chaos to everything in its wake
As a hurricane storm upon the tree of my soul
Trying to break me and steal the glory of my leaves
Uproot me, toss me, and burry me into the deepest region of the sea
To be lost forever, drowning in discordant agony

However, I press on with tenacity, vigilance, and confidence
A light traveling through the endless space towards the nebula of my dreams
Through the pain and suffering, the exaltation and exasperation of trials and tribulations
Through the madness of uncertainty and probability and endless devouring void
God’s Voice keeps my light alive and fuels my heart like infinite coal into a furnace; I steam along…
