Poem
Pretend to depend on me Friend, you always call me baby Breaking free from the chains of shame Falling down...like an outcast without a name There's a pain in my brain I'm like an ongoing train It's like the sound of continual rain It sticks onto me like a stain Refrain from driving me insane I lost my train of thought in vain I dropped it into the ever-churning drain I can't stand feeling disdain There's nothing I can gain I'm driving into a dark, lonely lane I can't get rid of this pangs of pain You mend me with your wings of freedom You send me off to the odd stars above You do see right through me unlike some You bend the rules a tad, my devil love There's a pain in my brain I'm like an ongoing train It's like the sound of continual rain It sticks onto me like a stain Refrain from driving me insane I lost my train of thought in vain I dropped it into the ever-churning drain I can't stand feeling disdain There's nothing I can gain I'm driving into a dark, lonely lane I can't get rid of this pangs of pain Close to falling apart...from the start Shattered in your hands...as if I mattered Your map is beyond a simple chart My brain is screwed up and running round insane...the beads of time scattered There's a pain in my brain I'm like an ongoing train It's like the sound of continual rain It sticks onto me like a stain Refrain from driving me insane I lost my train of thought in vain I dropped it into the ever-churning drain I can't stand feeling disdain There's nothing I can gain I'm driving into a dark, lonely lane I can't get rid of this pangs of pain Young still and trapped in a sunlit daze Strong-willed and stubborn...my wild spirit strays My eyes are burning from the fires of your desire But, honey, I'm afraid you can't step foot on my empire There's a pain in my brain I'm like an ongoing train It's like the sound of continual rain It sticks onto me like a stain Refrain from driving me insane I lost my train of thought in vain I dropped it into the ever-churning drain I can't stand feeling disdain There's nothing I can gain I'm driving into a dark, lonely lane I can't get rid of this pangs of pain Scorch me with your tranquilizing torch You sent me your porcelain love on my front porch Mesmerized by your memorable melody in my whirling head of doubt I'm sorry I had to let you go for so long...I guess we went our seperate route There's a pain in my brain I lost my mind long ago Bitter clouds, releasing rain Awaiting the dawn's glow There's a pain... In my brain again and again... There's this disease That's putting me no where close to at ease
