"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Psalm 43:2 I found this psalm one day in a hospital chapel, death had gripped my hand and was pulling me; but, for some reason the gates of heaven were closed, and I was sent back with another chance at life. I had sat in the darkened room feeling quite sad, quite sorry for myself, there was lots of healing still; on a table was the bible and I touched it gently, then sitting I opened it and my eyes fell on psalm 43:2. And suddenly, I was filled with hope as I was not alone, the Lord had been with me through my illness; through the surgery and he would not leave me ever, I needed his strength and he was there for me. Well, I got better and back to my life with a new outlook, sometimes people blame the Lord for the bad things; that happen in this world, he is not at fault, it is mankind, all he can do is offer us eternal life with him. When, mother died I was shattered and broken, I had to arrange her funeral and smile to the mourners; I was screaming inside and just wanted to hide, again, I opened the bible and read where my eyes fell. "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord. Who made heaven and earth. " Psalm 121 Again, I was filled with hope and strength, I was able to be strong and make mother proud; so, you see, I do need you so Lord in my life each day, and each time I have called, you have answered. _____________________ February 9, 2018 Poetry/Dramatic Verse/I Do Need you so Lord, But Why Copyright Protected, ID 18-9920-41-01 All Rights Reserved.
