Fox News reported the following: The news media was having a blast with Fear. He was saying he was the greatest attorney, the most respected lawyer in the nation. He stated he helped the judge when he was seeking office. Fear had his day in court and everyone loved him. Love was not a match for him. We now have someone who will make the courts great again. Love would not grant any interviews. This court will come to order. Order, order. Bailiff, escort those who are disrupting these proceedings out of my court room. Love, you may question the accuser. Love stood up. Her hair was now the colour of midnight and it shimmered in the light. She stood facing William. Her angle-like face and eyes were the color of an early morning pink rose covered with dew. Her voice sounded like small bells rung by the forest fairies. The sweet sound made William sob as he raised his head to look into the eyes of Love. He felt as if he was in another world free of doubt and betrayal. It was as if Love had cast a soft blanket over his heart and for the first time in years, he felt its beat. Although Love’s voice was soft, everyone in the court room heard what she was saying and they too felt the magic. Oh, William I too have felt your hurt and my attempts to help were rejected. Please know I will always be with you whenever you want me. You blame me for being alone but if you listen to you heart you will know you drove her away. Fear stood up and banging his hand on the table shouted. Objection your honor objection. Love is leading the witness and confusing him with her lies. Objection overruled. You opened this line of questioning Fear and Love has a right to pursue it. Now sit down. Fear turned and looked at the jury and noticed how their faces had changed. Love turned her head and looked at the judge and spectators and knew they were paying very close attention. She looked at the judge and said, Thank you your honor. William, there is nothing to feel guilty about. Your love for your girlfriend is understandable. Loving someone does not mean you can dictate what they should do. Love is an ocean of emotions and to love someone is to make ourselves vulnerable. Do you understand me? William’s face was now wet with his tears as he accepted a tissue from Love. The scent of the tissue was that of the fresh air of Spring that carried with them all the fragrance of a well kept garden. His voice was calm as he responded. Yes, oh how I loved her and still do. She loved me I know she did. Its difficult for me to understand why she stopped loving me. She haven’t stopped loving you William. She still loves you but she’s not ready to marry. I have looked into her heart and she is suffering too. She was afraid to explain the reason she wanted to wait but you didn’t give her a chance. Oh Love, do you really think she still loves me? I would do whatever she wanted me to do. I would be anyone she wanted me to be. I will wait forever if I knew I still had her love. Do you really believe I have a chance with her? Yes William, I know she still loves you. Your witness Fear The spectators were so attentive that it took them a while to react. The ones in the front rows were excited and some had pads and pen in hand composing poems and stories. The jurors were talking among themselves and at times seem as if they were arguing. The judge’s mallet was striking his desk as he shouted, Order, order. Fear, you may cross-examen the witness. Fear stood up and walked toward the witness stand and glared at Williams. In his mind he knew he must debunk what Love had said. He bowed to the judge and the jurors saying, As you can see, Love has used her destructive persuasion in an attempt to cloud my clients mind. Yes, she is clever but we all know what Love can do don’t we? Now William, where is your girlfriend now? I don’t know where she is. I tried to find her before but she seemed to have disappears. So, she left you. Do you believe Love can bring her back to you so she can marry you? I really don’t know. Love said she will return. Oh, come on William, do you actually believe she will return after so long? She more than likely has found someone else to hurt now that she is done with you. Now William, take a look at that table over there and see what Love is doing now. Take a hard look and tell me if she is worried about you. William looked at Love and with tears streaming down his face said, Everything is so confusing. I love my girlfriend and want her back. I hope love will bring her back to me. She is gone forever William! She is now with someone else after she cast you aside. There are countless men and women out there who are suffering. These lonely people are either looking for love or love has left them forever. Face up to it and learn to live without love. Please stop it. No one can bring her back to me. Love has left me but my heart still yearns for the love I had for her. I have nothing else to say. Fear turned and looked at Love with a pucker smile. His hay colored looking hair covering a bald spot on his head. Looking up at the judge he said, No further questions your Honor. The judge brought down his mallet saying, The Jury will now adjourn to make a decision on this most unusual case. Reporters and news media hurried to their respected stations and newspaper offices to get out the news. End The Trial of Love 6
