parasites of polite society
Practitioners of the long and short con,
two-armed trust bandits
prying open the window of retiring dreams
They tell some real tasty good bedtime stories,
	caramel-coated candy apple lies
dipped in dark chocolate thievery
Saying: grab your coat, sugar ... 
come go with daddy
Elope with me: 
lets take a joint venture romantic adventure
Daddy gon take you to the top of the pinnacle
	of Niagra Falls
Grifter promises are a burglar bag
full of empty vows ... 
every angle tool used for taking everything
Nothing is what it seems — 
drop you off at the train station,
then do the final act magic trick performance: 
diversionary tact of suave disappearing
Have you banking on expectations
of new dividends income-ing
	Grifter love vampire bleeds,
feeding on an infatuated heart infected with greed
Go daddies gon go get what you need,
a little white-powdered candy fantasy
Baby girl innocent, don’t go getting addicted
	to Cain sugar promises
that’ll leave your Abel-bodied heart strangling ... 
Two lips grifter gripped to the throat,
choking your fading naive hope — 
leaving your snatched retirement purse empty
Taking your lonesome confidence, 
and driving a stake thru it’s chained heart —  
	Bittersweet fettered feelings 
attached to a cold charm double cross dangling
