When does the Torch of Love begin or end,
Everyone is born with one as I comprehend.
Love and kindness walk hand in hand together,
Enduring good and hard times come whatever.

When a babe is born it needs the close touch
Of a mothers passionate care and love so very much.
If the mothers bondage is not there,
She is sick, too busy, or just unable to tend and care.

Then our Torch of Love will not positively respond,
Then our Torch of Love will fade away, always be beyond.
During our young lives we grow up learning from all around us,
From family and friends, who love, make friends, avoid hate and fuss.

There are those who criticise, maltreat, know how to hurt,
Or subtly undermine, discourage, with nastiness flirt.
Young folk with whomever they live ,
Will absorb, touch, admire,what home life has to give.

Parents who constantly fight, will end up in the divorce court,
Their married children will also see their marriages come to nought.
When the Torch of Love shines on one from birth,
Their chances are strong for them to enjoy life on earth.

With the Torch of Love burning strongly or gently from your heart,
Then goodwill, happiness, love and care you will gladly impart.
I believe the Good Lord has put a Torch of Love in everyone,
Will it be encouraged to grow and find its place in the sun?

Will it languish, cause misery and despair, be a blot on the sun, why care?
Unhappiness is in one’s own mind, you can beat it if you dare.
Pick your parents wisely and in life always think positively,
Think love, think good, be kind, and your Torch of Love will be yours for eternity.

When you hold the Torch of Love in your hand, keep the flame burning high,
Spread your happiness, your love, your praise, your smile and you will be happy till the day you die.
