Poem
I I see you wearing your green hijab. Looking mysterious as the desert under the red sun And I start to tremble with joy. If you only knew… As you walked near me, I smell roses under the morning rain and this heart jumps breathlessly on my chest. Why did you divert your big cat eyes towards me? it looks they say without saying as words born from the freshness of your mouth. there’s a lesson I’ve got to learn I turn pathetic when I’m at your side I want to explain this mystery to myself but I feel powerless II You have blinded me, you only Pretty flower from the golden Sahara whose beauty overshadows all flowers around you, I start to search inside the darkness of not having you until I have to ask myself, between the turmoil, what have you done to keep my heart bleeding, slashed in pieces by the fears who turn us apart If only we could know us each other, deeper I’m blind by you, only you Oh, subtle wind from the blue Mediterranean See my despair silently suffers Awaiting to keep seven salty tears from falling over my empty hands waiting to collect the joy of having your passion That will be turned into reality by you only and God And I kneel to the mighty And beg beg beg All day long In each day of the month For the woman in love to come III Run to my open arms they will protect you Come if you’re lonely Come if you’re hated Come if you’re persecuted Come if you’re sick Come if you’re disabled Run to my open arms they will protect you I will light your soul I will shield you I will fight on your side I will heal the wounds from your body I will free you from all obstacles Run to my open arms they will protect you Feel free to come as you are I will wait for you as long light’s on IV Give me those hands where the truth lies Show me the path to fulfil us Two by one only, together Inside both mind and body What has not happened does not get old No one Had loved you More Than I do V Forgive me If I saw a future where there was nothing to be seen, I saw a castle where only a pit lies. Forgive me if I was confused, said unintelligible words, phrases without shape. Forgive me if I Became selfish and betray your friendship. You can tell everybody about me if you see me lost and miserable but have compassion for the truth that remains
