Poem

It's not a night
to be calm and cool, 
not a silly child's game
you played at school.

The forces of evil
will fill you with fright,
will your children
make it home tonight?

Death lingers through the air
people say to have no fear,
when the sun goes down
you'll hear whispers in your ear.

Yes, it will chill you
to your very core,
feelings of fright
you very well can't ignore.

The blood will start pumping
your heart will beat hard,
the sweat rolls down your face
there's something in your yard.

You try to run
but you can not hide,
the wind picks up
trees are rocking outside.

You close the curtains
and lock the doors,
but evil still finds you
death, is what you're in for.

Filled with fright, you truly are
as a sharp knife slices at you,
you scream out, you can't be heard
falling to the floor, your time was due.
