Poem
Nothing beseeches more than darkness The outer rims of the black Earth Raw refining nothingness in oblivion Where no-one desired to reside Without a hatred for life, that which simmers Like the fire which lives deeply within And punctures the soul like brimstone Would a giant, but without the height It scars, it sears, it sternly scorches every pore Of your heart, diving into that darkness Catching every sickness known, and unknown Piercing the fragments of one’s body Blowing up, to burn excruciating pain throughout Casting shadows over the soul of black The tar, the lit fuel to corrode every particle Of your existence, a blood curdling scream Does not skim the darkness within Caressing the evil of the fire of damnation The horrors of the lies and the hatred Which twist and torture the soulless heart That which burns, endlessly burns, scorches And bleeds never-ending as if there is blood Flowing, but the core is hollow, a chasm Of soundless darkness, where nothing exists Of any proportion except pain, painful Interjections…twisting, gouging, spading The heart into pieces of black dust Where the fire has already burned hot Leaving the endless cry of hatred, pierced The soul is in agony, just what the darkness Desired, to end all life, to suffocate love Into ground up, grotesque, particles of death To forever live in torment, of this searing fire Darkness reigns, killing any hope, and leaving Those with a soul, crushed and devoured Endlessly suffering the burning hell of death Russell Sivey ****Author's Note: This poem does not reflect how I feel right now. Though in the past I have felt like this when I was very depressed and life was really rough and terrible for me, but that was a long time ago, I am a lot, a LOT better now and I want everyone to know that I am fine and that is poem is about my past, not now!****
