Inspiration

As I look around this old house
As a potential place to ‘be’
The painted walls in relaxed hues
Framed accents ~ the shades of me

The sound of water plummets down
In a basin to store my thoughts
The ceiling fans create a breeze
To imagine a place it’s naught

Outside, in back, the grass is soft
It brushes worry from my toes
I’m breathing in a fragrant view
When a hunger begins to grow

In the kitchen I’ll replenish
In the living room I will breathe
In my den, the place that I will write
Is a picture of you and me

Imagine ~ you and me
