Poem
Prayers and stagnancy remained this day, Many a glance did I try his way, Our Dragon’s dark, silhouetted form, Pressed to the burning stone barrier I could see and hear his dragon skin sizzle Against it, he remained Fuming as I prayed I prayed that Lady Darkness may serpentine her way Out of his frame again, That he may breathe and remember The creations we had fused In the depths of the darkness, I sung to him, my head tilted upwards, Where smoke and blackness seeped Sweltering mists stinging my cheeks: "Throbbing, crying, burning heart, Your malignancies rave silently, Spitting your poison upon my resolving soul I am not here to taste forever your tenatious fires Nor the splintering intention of crazed desires I am here for the melodies we make That shall cast all shadows ablaze, For the ferocity, for the eternal That invulnerable haze! You are no disoriented beast, You're no weakling or coward How hard is it to face that our fate is at His mercy? If He created you in unrelenting beauty, How much more mercy will He offer to an angel, Than to a demon, the miserable rendition of you, To a fickle creature, unlikable... a human? You reject such mercies of life, The breath that gave you breath! From such visceral hands, You reject creation for war and destruction You want everyone to fall as you did, To hate the intuitive molds as you do To breed cutaneous, blackened lies, On flesh no longer pigmented How much more hate will you attempt to singe On the long-stretch eagle's wings, The great clinging talons that let go of His daughter, So that she may fall into your dreams, With more purpose than she can fathom? You have singed Him to yet another mercy of His Another footfall to redemption You have serenaded to your own heart, Your old lips have given your notes searing quality Sensitive to reclaimed ears Your tongue, your tone, swindles only itself Possessed by the appeal of her plans Can your masterful mind perceive how such plain beauty Has dissolved into this dastardly Queen of Darkness? She has no place where I have created with you She has no place within me, But I will remember her as the demon she was, And accept her as a part of you One who resides deep in your precepts, And she will grin loudly till she is becrossing of another Till her existence leaks away and is but history Away from you or ever a part of you, fastening on the pages of glory" He shifted inches away from the opening, The heat of in-between still burning him True, he felt strongly he still should punish us, Yet the slightest movement meant, to me, That he listened to my words intently
