Poem
I love science and everything that it entails, from gills to lungs.                                                                                 It is most notable to me that we know so much; yet so little.                                                                                      The more I read and study about matters of a scientific nature,                                                                                   the more my brain seems to say to me, "Yo, you, take a break".
And there are other times that my brain wishes that I had paid more                                                   attention and taken more interest in my science classes when I was a child.                                                                   

I know and understand very little about the laws of gravitation relative to elevation. But I well understand that the further I get from sea level, the more              my head aches.                                                                                                                                               

Clearly, I was not made to fly, because the pressure of gravity always                                                              pulls me back toward the ground.  I know that plane 'landings' are really                                                'controlled plane crashes'.  And I know that it takes lots of power to lift that                                                           same plane off the runway.                                                                                                                   

I understand that earthly creatures are well protected by an atmospheric shield, without which millions of galactic debris would make earth uninhabited.  Notwithstanding, that same shield that Space Shuttles have to break through to enter outer space, is still there when the Shuttle returns. That is why such shuttles must be well insulated for reentry.

I do not know a lot more than I did in grade school. I have no scientific proof, but I fear that my brain will start to fry if I do not occasionally refrain from certain reading materials entrenched with equations and numbers.  Anyway, my brain is telling me that it is time for another break.
