Poem
I. Paranoia is when you want to escape but you're only able to imagine the knife thrusting violently into the wall—because if holes were really made, it would create tunnels for the vision of others to enter. Only the ghosts who are already here are allowed to know the secrets; no one else can see them. No one else can see the ghosts either. II. Paranoia is the monster under your bed that comes out when you've been in the dark of your room for too long. It will choke you until you become kind enough to accept your fate and let it get what it wants. Because of this, you have practice being a peacemaker—and no one could ever be as threatening as the one who's already killed you. III. Paranoia is mysterious. Although you are typically fond of mystery, this one is a crime mystery. You are also fond of the idea of crime, but when your f*cked-up interests combine, you see how bad it really is. You've done something and now there's evidence that someone knows. You don't know who, so in desperation, you erase all weapons and bodies that could possibly be in sight, although internally you are proud of your actions and will miss them. You sit for hours as the hourglass turns itself—as the sand slowly turns to blood and the glass slowly melts, and the hair on your head turns white. Too bad you've pulled all of it out, because even the hair that still had pigment is now gone.
