I was on my ambivalent fence
about who to watch watch the solar eclipse,
my alcoholic allies
or the designer THC corporate investors.

Wherever it was,
we read excerpts from two permaculture designers,
to get our minds ready for this great transitional event.

Robin Wall Kimmerer,
an Elder Native American
permaculture designer and teacher
of ecofeminist political matriarchal cooperative ownership,
if there ever were such an actual RealTime person,
tells a story of two ways to harvest sweetgrass.

One eco-centered way plays WinWin
in cooperation with each grass clump's root system,
cutting and pinching harvests 
from the base of each individual sacred stalk,
while more WhiteMan-centered investors,
buyers and sellers,
play WinSome-LoseSome capital-extraction
in competition with uprooted and thrown away,
culled and harvested and wasted root systems,

Here, root systems are devoured in pursuit of entitled rights
of ownership over individual nutritional-potentiated sacred systems,

whether as consumer or harvester

and misinterpreted to mean
your egocentric right to harvest

Some of us parents
and teachers,
mental health professionals
and public health ecological cooperators,
preachers and politicians,
theorists and practitioners of health giving and receiving
as slow-growing non-pathological climates
and reweaving multicultures,
need LeftBrain reminders
we are always better off and on
to let ecosystems,
reforesting root systems,

slow-grown course.

Others prefer invitations to RightBrain ecocentering harvests,
where root systems are all cooperatively sacred potential partners,
and only competitively merely secular opportunities
for WinLose divestment,
a natural-spiritual kick in the ass
by the fear of a vengeful Patriarchal God of EgoMongering,
and/or by our natural-spiritual love of co-investing
with cooperative Matriarchal Earth,
to wake us Left with RightBrain up
to act to save our bicameral sighted selves.
