Are you listening?
Are you paying attention
Did you get the message 
Did you really look
to see that all the good ones are getting took
Not just in a book or on the news 
we living in a time
where so many are confused
they doing things by all means 
not just taking things they stealing dreams
We had so many who had promising futures 
but their lives were taken because you thought it would suit ya
so who do we blame 
ourselves or the ones who scared to break that chain
of the same things that's going on
be the change
or you will remain
stuck, doing anything for the value of a buck

Don't get caught up
in the world
it is twisting, in a twirl
no longer together
the world pulling us apart
people turning heartless
use to have a heart
don't get caught up in statistics 
don't block your blessings 
don't miss it
don't get caught up 
it's the truth
let's set examples for our youth

Trying to make sense 
of what's going on
People still not admitting when they're wrong
Holding grudges,not speaking
we living in a world 
that's really weakening
We lost trust in the Bible
not being aware that his arrival will come
we will come face to face with our Father and his so one day, 
He Said if we represent him we show love
but people now days don't even think of 
the consequences of their actions 
all of these constant distractions
im just trying to see
is there a chance that the world we in
for once not judge us by our skin
but by who we are
are is that just a wish upon a star
