Poem
I was twenty minutes late, She forgave me any way, Yet Lectured me about first impressions. I could have welcomed the light penance any day, But the length of her reprimand built vexatious emotions Within my heart for she addressed the issue for an hour, Giving instances and reasons for time management power. Meanwhile , the waiters had checked on us thrice. I had waved them on each occasion signifying I needed their Patience, She had finished her sermon so I called one of the waiters' guys, And asked my Lady what drink would crave her allegiance. She said ."Five Alive" Juice. And asked for same amidst the DJ 's intoxicating Blues. I pondered on where to begin my conversation , For before now the only thing I knew about my lady's personality, Were her phone number, her radiant face and a body of inspiration, All Thanks to my after church service flirtation but now came a new reality. Lucy was sitting right in front of me and I was thrilled For it took many rejections and some of my personal principles killed. I decided to tell her how much I cared about her, And her radiant smile slowly began to unleash . We familiarised about divers issues without flaring temper. Then came my confidence that was to swallow me like Jonah's Fish I told her to ask me any thing With a promise to be truthful and honest about everything "Are you seeing anyone? " It was a routine question so I was not perplexed I told her that for over a year I had not been with anyone. She smiled and I could see her previous resistance had been compressed. I told her for same period I haven't had one night stands or a fling Amidst her smile, I said I had to find my queen Lucy as an honorable King. Then it happened like rapture Maria a very blunt lady who usually spoke before she thought Was walking towards us and she almost passed but her eyes captured Mine and she turned few centimeters to our table's cloth "Wow, Man I see why you are not taking your calls since last week" "I only wanted to tell you that you did me good and made my week" "Hi lady I am Maria, you are lucky to have this Stud to yourself ". "I wish it was last week all over again". she varnished The whole world was falling on my head as I wasn't myself Then I saw Lucy give me the gaze of a Tiger Famished She sprang up and in a spit second splashed her juice on my body As she hurried out I lifted up my head to find the eyes of everybody.
