I live in the countryside
beautiful and colorful it is
but it is painted all over
by the rainbow of love so said

The ones born in the place
those who come and settle
acquire new marks of beauty
the mark X that show expiry

People are painted with X
animals are painted with X
the landscape is painted with X
nothing is spared the paint X

Proud and happy everyone is
this new mark of identity
gives hope for hopelessness
in their slumber rainbow is gift

Since inception of X painting
the rainbow of love has vanished
the painter has never come out
but the people feast in trouble

Give humanity wrapped air
and tell them to mind not
as you promise honeyed hell
they will sing and dance for you

The painted countryside lives on
As wrapped trouble adorable
