Fighting in an age,
Where you can’t feel the rage,
And the night is the same
As the day.

Your cause is a joke,
And they won’t let you smoke,
But you can lose your mind
At a rave.

Crusading with a chant,
Turn it into a rant,
But they won’t give a damn
What you say.

They’ve got their own line,
And electronic minds,
Cause they’re smarter than you
Anyway.

Fight like a Scot,
Work like a dog,
See quiet dreams,
Vanish in the fog.
Walk on this Earth,
But watch where you trod,
Cause the world is a joke
From an angry god.

You know that you know,
And so you say so,
But they laugh at you
Like a loon.

You point out the facts,
But they don’t give a crap,
So they call you offensive
And rude.

You see what’s fortold,
So you dare to be bold,
And they say that you’re just
A cartoon.

They’ll all go to their death,
Convinced it’s the best,
And at some point you just say,
‘Screw you.’

The passage of time,
Shows no reason or rhyme,
No gray, and no white,
And no black.

The years flutter by,
Leaders live, rule, and die
And the world never leaves
From its track.

It all seems a dream
That has long lost its sheen,
Unaware of the things
That it lacks.

And all you can find,
To bring meaning to time,
Are the small things beyond
Their long grasp.
