Lord tonight my soul is troubled as I come before your throne
In my mind there is a battle and my strength is almost gone
There are so many voices echoing in my head
They're all talking at one time I just want to stay in bed
I've almost gotten to the point I'm ashamed to ask for prayer
Because there are so many worse off than me out there
Lord is it selfish for me to ask for prayer for me
Open the eyes of my heart so I can clearly see
He whispered to me gently here's what you need to know
When I was praying in the garden two thousand years ago
I prayed for the cup to pass if it was the Father's will
But I knew before time began I had a purpose to fulfill
I was crucified and buried then God raised me from the dead
Now I sit at his right hand praying for you instead
Keep your eyes focused on me and know this one thing for sure
I hear all prayers on your behalf and by my grace you will endure
