Poem
Something strange propel me out of my air bed this morning It wasn't the stinking smell of pork burning in the oven or the guy upstairs jumping up and down the screechy stair way Neither was it the unfamiliar smell of dog poop in the passage It was perhaps an angel pulling me by the ear forcing me to get up and pray I woke up suddenly and glanced at the clock, it was half past one and the night had just began The night was far from over it felt quite peculiar I could feel restlessness far and near and the night owls at the corner house emitting a weird feeling in the atmosphere TV lights glaring and shouting through their window pane This neighborhood makes me feel so ashamed I walked outside and jumped in my car and for a moment no one was working on my borrowed time The street was awfully quite and empty not one car was insight Oh I wish it was broad daylight I felt like dancing and singing aloud in the street all night I cruised around the neighborhood glancing at the sleeping cars lined up on both side of the road with their owners all in bed snoring through their obnoxious head I made my way to the park and walk back and forth in the dark Trying to figure out a master plan to escape from this futile land I tried to cherish the time alone but suddenly a car start pussyfooting around I kept walking about in circle with my flashlight lit-up around me But when he tried to park the heavens spew him out of my space forcing him to drive quickly away No one was there except me and the fireflies winking about in the dark Something kept pulling me away pointing me towards the east I obey the silent voice inside and parked my car on the other side of town. I walked along the well lit street humming a tune and praying in the Spirit I stood in front of the sign that says sixty six east for something was there that was very deep I stood in front of the bush looking at the trees in-front of me listening Suddenly I saw a strange movement in the trees and a cool breeze thrust freely upon me The wind start blowing in that spot and something was mystical about that I looked towards the sky above me and saw the white clouds rolling away making way for a brand new day Someone ascend in the clouds causing a sudden darkness around There was no face or no feet to be found it was someone from the deep A power stronger than man hid its face in the dark opening up the heavens And looking down on man.The Gods have heard me.
