All the answers I need were left in riddles for my modern mind to decipher Chasing after the impossible puzzle to only find it opens to another Evermore so, I find I have not the strength to carry on Yet… there is no place like this I can ever feel closer to belong For a long time now…The Ancients has been my home Way before I’m even to realize upon knowledge of my own Had he not send words to me, a dreaded world I am still to reside Had he not send words… Ei-rian would not have died… The unfounded lost begets me ever so much, ever so overwhelming A befallen whose dreams cheated her as well in her dying ‘For she who awaits, awaits not the knight In turn she sees only a he who remembers Days returning with its eventual nights She who died, remains alone to be… forever’ I am not Aidan… I am only to be someone else A replacement given a role to play especially well I inherited memories and did not once live in that time That being the reason will be reasons enough to be blind They who believe so much in me, a one me with resemblance Who constantly need be reminded for strengths in moments Watching myself stray, I wonder yet again… why me? To endure the pain, to see the dying and to only be… I turn to return Alkaiya’s embrace, searching for release And as anticipated… the unsettling fails to ease Can I see beyond myself ever one more time…? To bring forth a will that cleverly lies in hiding to find Yet… I’m poorly sighted with my heart in doubt When in me bears the lost to face in a lonesome shroud How is it believable for one such as Ei-rian to have died? When after a many years as close to death where in dreams she hides With her passing, a stir into one’s reality jolted me awake For it was love that had opened the door whence of late Did I love her…? Or perhaps be Aidan from within who truly feels A substitute I only remain to be with a love I never knew Too long had she waited, as a mortal graced with immortality Yet of death she escapes not when upon my sword she died expectantly Death indeed mystifies the living into depths unknown Giving birth to new emotions one never thought to own Reborn into a new world to return to The Ancients is now me However close Aidan is to remain, serves but simply a memory And I finally realized… it was Aidan within who loved her A modern me in turn, is Alkaiya whom I’ve learn to hold dear As easy as love shall come, never easier is love to behold When a newfound me is without a choice to a part I must enroll
